There is nothing like spending the cold of December in Florida.
It was nice having morning coffee outside looking at palm trees and just the green and sunshine. Warm was 78+ days and 60+ nights and 92 in the pool. So why am I sitting in Maryland now???

I like the idea of having more light and warmer weather.
Also being able to spend more time outside and not being wet and cold.
The stress fades away and the calm winds were refreshing. 
Spent most of the time on the Atlantic side, except for the 2 days over on the gulf looking at relocating areas...
I think I will like living near Sanibel and it's shell covered beaches!

Usually when communications go hey wire we blame it on Mercury. I have a feeling this is more than Mercury at work! Maybe Fortuna is laughing at me?

Saturday - Got a letter, very official with a check that I had won some money...right. It is a really go job, someone put a lot of time an effort into this - made me look several times. Several hours of search the web, back tracing phone numbers etc - no luck. then several business hours and 3 banks later - a closed account but everone impressed with the qulity and no one willing tosay it is definetly a fraud. Email to States Attorney's Office... form reply we will get back to you. sigh so much for good fortune coming my way.

Tuesday - Chinesse food, ah yes the fortune cookie... And wouldn't you know it, the fortune from inside is blank. wonderful. Does this mean I have no fortune or no future?

If not for luck... can't wait to see what # s will be! Guess I should skip playing the lottery this week. Maybe I ought to go back to bed and wait till next week.

Hurrah, thank the gods it is raining...

The leaves were starting to fall off the fruit and polplar trees; butterflies were everywhere over the weekend looking for flowers (or what had survived). And low and behold I saw a hummingbird! So out went the feeder and it returned Sunday morning.

There was a nice thunderstorm overnight - Thank you Perun!
Now if this keep up for a few days we may be ok!
Please Mokosh, accept the rains and do not flood us!!!

Little did I know that I had bats in my belfy.  But there they were last night, flying around the yard, dipping down bewteen the house and the garage onto the small grove of trees that are on the side of the yard. It has been quite a while since seeing bats at dusk, much less since it has been so dry.  The drought that we are experiencing may possibly be the reason they are here! The mosquitoe population is about non-existant right now.  Usually the swallows and purple martins are about, but they have also become a rare sight. It does make it nice sitting outside at night and not swatting bugs.  There we have it, I have bats in my belfry! Now the only problem...
